OSOGBO — Osun State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, has declared that Nigeria needs prayers now than any other time in its 52 years of existence, urging Nigerians to vehemently pray to save the country from collapse.
In a statement in Osogbo to felicitate with Muslims on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Kabir festival, the party's Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, urged citizens of the state to join other Muslims in the country to pray for peace in the country.
According to him " the people of Osun State should give praise and thanks to God for providing a leader of the calibre of Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, who is doing everything possible to bring joy and hope to homes and families through his unprecedented delivery of services that are impacting on the people's life."
He recalled that in the last couple of months, the massive investments in agriculture and infrastructure by the government of Aregbesola had brought relief to people and prevented deaths.
He added: "Any leader who alleviates the suffering of his or her people needs all the prayers the people can say for the continuation of the good works such leader is doing.
"This is why we should intensify our efforts at praying and working for the progress of the ACN government in Osun."
