Duties and Responsibilities

•   The Incumbent has to generate, analyze, review and communicate financial data that reflects actual finance performance against the budget.

•   He or she will have to assist the annual entries and fillings and also has the responsibility to supervise quarterly and annual entries perfectly.

•   He or she will be the in charge of the department related to the preparation of accounting records, research of transactions and reports.

•   He or she will have the required professional competence to perform regular and recurring accounting functions.

•   He or she will have to do the financial management procedures and auditing so he or she has to document accounting procedures and transactions.

•   He or she will have to prepare tax schedules so he or she should have the basic knowledge of tax rules to assist in tax reports and returns.

•   He or she should have to apply the financial policies and procedures of the company.

•   He or she has to research for the data and information to be used in transactions.

•   He or she has to take part in the annual operating budgeting process, to analyze them and review annual operating budget proposals.

•   Financial services: Statutory accounting, Month end reporting, Payroll accounting, Management accounts, Cash flow forecast, Reconciliation of accounts and Analysis of Financial Statements,

•   Liaising with third parties such as Tax authorities, Banks, External Auditors etc

Qualifications and Requirements:

•   BSc/HND (Minimum Second Class Lower) in Accounting with

•   Obtained ICAN certification will be an added advantage

•   Must have a minimum of two years cognate experience in a similar position.

•   Candidate for this position must he skilled in Accounting and Microsoft IT packages.

•   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: He or she should have the high aptitude for mathematics and the skills as well.

•   ANALYTICAL SKILLS: He or she should have great analyzing skills.

•   COMMUNICATION SKILLS: He or she should have exceptional communication skills both verbally and written.

•   He or she needs to have the ability to pay close attention to details
