The Nation: Onitsha market traders lose goods to fire

Goods worth over N12 million were destroyed by fire on Friday night at the Foam market in Ochanja Main Market, Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra State.   



It was gathered that the fire started at 7.30 pm when the traders had closed their shops and retired to their different homes which made it impossible for any of them to save their goods.   

One of the eye-witnesses told reporters that she was taking her supper when she noticed the fire, adding that before people could understand what was happening the inferno had escalated.
