Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert insisted his team can still reach the Capital One Cup final despite a shock semi-final first leg defeat at Bradford.

The League Two club beat their Premier League opponents 3-1 at Valley Parade.

But Lambert said '' We're still in the tie, absolutely. It'll be a different game at home. It's only half time ''.

'' I still make Villa slight favourites because they have the quality and Bradford could be nervous. Can you say Villa were embarrassed? I'm not sure you can given that Bradford played so well. But it will be very difficult for Paul Lambert to raise his players for the second leg ''.

'' You have to regroup and go again. We've got to come out of the blocks. There's no grey area. We know what we have to do. We have to play better ''.
