'Injured' Ayew to start for Marseille today

Ghana star, Andre Ayew, who was dropped by his country for AFCON that will kick-start this month because he was 'unfit', has entered Olympic Marseille's team that will play against Sochaux on Sunday, the French Lique 1 club said.

The talented winger, who has played 44 matches for Ghana, has recovered from the injury he picked up in trainig 10 days back, the club has said on their website.

Ayew, who is 23 years, the son of former Ghana player Abedi Pele, was supposed to come down to Ghana last weekend so as to get checked on by the Doctors but was nowhere to be found. This made Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah drop him from the players he's taking to South Africa.

Stricker Morgan Amalfitano and defender Lucas Mendes, who both missed the French Cup win over Guingamp last weekend, are presently okay and fit to play for Olympic Marseille who is currently number 3 on the league table.
