New Palermo boss Alberto Malesani says he is optimisic about the club's chances of surviving in Italy's top flight this year.
                                                         Malesani flew into Sicily on Tuesday to become the club's 25th coach since 2002, following the dismissal of Gian Piero Gasperini on Monday.
