Basic Functions:

•   Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the cashier provides a variety of administrative and clerical duties including support in the preparation of Petty Cash Imprest Account for the country Office finance unit.

•   Support the finance unit in the review of all payment requests and determines the propriety and accuracy of all expenditures

•   Assure completeness of supporting documentation and coding in accordance with FHI policies and procedures.

•   Provide cash management support services which includes:

•   Cash /Check lodgment to banks•   Cash withdrawal from banks•   Cash disbursement

•   Prepare and submit request for replenishment of imprest petty cash account and ensure proper coding and recording of all petty cash expenses

•   Writing of cheques and preparation of payment vouchers, responsible for the filing of payment vouchers, supporting documentations, workshop and travel retirements.

Qualifications:

•   BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 0 – 1 year relevant experience.

•   Experience in administering petty cash is an advantage.
