Duamlong is new Kaduna Utd coach

Kaduna United have appointed Ben Duamlong as head coach/technical adviser of the club ahead of the 2012/13 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Duamlong arrived Kaduna on Monday to resume duty ahead of the new season.

Salleh Tanko-Lato, who has served as interim head coach, has described the appointment of Duamlong as a good move.

Tanko-Lato said he considers working with Duamlong a great privilege having played under him at Plateau United.
.
"It's a rare privilege to once again to learn from him in a technical capacity. Duamlong was my coach in 1998 when I was playing for Plateau United.
.
"He is very much welcome by me and the other technical crew members. We're ready to give him maximum support he needs to succeed in his new assignment.
.
"The management in their wisdom may have felt they need an experienced hand to head the technical crew and add more value to whatever success we achieved last season.
.
"I think they made the right choice and actually went after the best man for the job. The technical crew is happy and with open hands receive him in our midst," he said.

Kaduna United will kick off their NPFL campaign at Sunshine Stars on March 9.
