Dynamo Kiev's Nigerian striker Brown Ideye believes the Super Eagles are capable of repeating the heroics of their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations triumph during the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil in June.
.
The Super Eagles defied the odds to lift the 29th edition of the Nations Cup in South Africa and the striker who scored one goal and provided two assists was optimistic that the team can advance from Group B that comprises world and European champions Spain, Oceania champions Tahiti and South America giants Uruguay.
.
"I think with hard work and dedication, we stand a chance of qualifying from that group and repeating our recent feat in South Africa. We just have to believe in ourselves and play to our potential," Ideye said.
.
The former Sochaux forward who was part of the 24- man Dynamo Kiev squad that arrived in France for tomorrow's Europa League second leg clash against Bordeaux is optimistic of maintaining his scoring form against French sides.
.
He added: "Bordeaux is a very good team and they now have some of my former teammates and my friends I played with at Sochaux. I'm glad that I've managed to score some great goals against them.
.
"Their current manager Zhiyo who was my former coach will be waiting for us. He knows my abilities so well but I will be ready to help my team advance. I believe that if we play our best football, we will be able to defeat Bordeaux."
