Nigeria midfielder, Kalu Uche is pleased at his exploits in Turkey's Super Lig this season.

The former RCD Espanyol pearl struck Kasimpasa's winner in the 1-0 success against Sivasspor on Monday to take his haul for the season to 12.

Kalu is now the joint top scorer in Turkey and stressed the importance of a good performance from his teammates on Monday night at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadi, Istanbul.

"This match as a team well prepared. Well we think we are fighting. Consequently, we won three points and now we will look at the next matches," he told the club's official website, kasimpasasportiffaaliyetler.as.

Two other players, Burak Yilmaz and Umut Bulut (both with Galatasaray) have also scored 12 goals in the Super Lig but the Nigerian will be looking to claim the top scorers award all by himself by the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has made 30 appearances for Nigeria since making his debut in 2003 against Angola in Benin City. He has scored five times for the Super Eagles.
