Kubica Making Progress, Moves Into Rehab

Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica is healing nicely with no complications. The 26-year-old Polish driver's future was jeopardized by the crash during a rally event that partially severed his right hand and caused other injuries.

But Kubica has expressed optimism ever since he first awakened from sedation after the first surgical procedure, and his progress vindicates his positive outlook. "He is doing pretty well and his condition is positive considering what he has been through," Dr. Mario Igor Rossello said in an interview posted on the Lotus Renault F1 Team Web site.
