Job Title: Operations Officer – Country Office

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Project: DFID Program / UNITAD Project

The Operations Officer will provide direct support to the Country Director in the smooth running of the country office and the provision of operational and management support to all Malaria Consortium programmes and projects in-country.

Responsibilities:

•   The job-holder will be actively responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and complete information is made available in the Nigerian page of Malaria Consortium's intranet.

•   Additional responsibilities include; overseeing consultants and procurement management process as required and ensuring Malaria Consortium projects receive value for money (VFM) for all procurement at all times, developing and maintaining strong relationships with service providers; including hotels, car-hires, travel agencies, et cetera; assisting in organising programme activities (workshops, trainings) in the country office; amongst other responsibilities.

Candidates should possess the following:

•   A bachelor's degree in either of Public Health, Social Sciences or Project Management with a minimum of three years project management experience.

•   Previous experience in budgeting, knowledge of computer and database tools, facilitation and coordination skills is required for this position.

•   S/he must have strong management and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.

•   Previous experience within a donor funding environment will be an added advantage.
