Kano Pillars defender, Papa Idris, says he's delighted to be back into the senior national team after he failed to make Coach Stephen Keshi's cut for the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations.
.
Idris was among the 24 home based players invited to camp in preparation for the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kenya in Calabar come March 23, 2013.
.
"I'm excited I must say. It's an opportunity once again for us to push hard to ensure that I made the final cut so as to yes, I'm part of the team", Idris said.
.
The center-back insists there's nothing special about the Kenya match and that the players will approach the game like every other match.
.
"It's like any other game, nothing special", Idris quipped. "There's nothing different except that we have to dedicate ourselves, concentrate positively physically and spiritually to ensure we get the victory that we desired.
.
"We've to go all out to ensure we win by high goal margin. Afterall, it's our home game and we're playing in front of our own supporting fans", the Kano Pillars center-back enthused.
.
Idris was part of Kano Pillars squad that secured a scoreless draw with Olympique Bangui in the return leg match of the CAF Champions League preliminary round games to book a place in the first round games on 5-1 goals aggregate having won the first leg 5-1 in Kano.
