River State: Naval Outpost To Be Sited At Ikuru Town - Deputy Governor Confirms

The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, said the sitting of a naval outpost at Ikuru Town in Andoni Local Government Area is a strategic security move due to its strategic position in the Niger Delta Regions.

"Ikuru town is open to the Atlantic Ocean, several creeks and the Gulf of Guinea in general, security in Ikuru Town is security in Gulf of Guinea, it is strategic as the area is home to 182 oil wells amongst other oil facilities" he said.
