Varese winger, Nnamdi Oduamadi, says he is delighted to be back in the Super Eagles set-up ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Kenya in Calabar.
.
Oduamadi has been out of the national team following his recent injury woes which shut him out of action for both club and country for about four months.
.
The 22-year-old has started Varese's last eight matches, including an impressive 3-2 win at away to Brescia where he scored the winner.
.
He said that he is relieved to be back with the Super Eagles squad after the coach released the list of the foreign-based players that will feature in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier later this month.
.
"Obviously, I am delighted to be back in the squad for the Kenya game," he said.
.
"I'm just ready to be back and hopefully, I can play a part and help the team to win. I feel good, I've been working very hard and I'm happy to have a few games under my belt at a high level of recent."
.
Also reacting to his invitation to the Super Eagles was Academica's John Ogu who was a surprise inclusion to many.
.
"I'm grateful for the coach's decision to give me a chance to prove myself in the Super Eagles. It's now up to me to show why I was selected for the game.
.
We have all seen the progression in the team following the recent AFCON triumph. It takes time for players to adapt but I don't think I should see myself as an outsider because there seems to be unity in the present team; at least, the performances at the last Nations Cup has reflected that," he concluded.
