Rivers Angels Sports club began their 2012/13 Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) campaign with a convincing 5-0 home win over Sunshine Queens in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Head coach of the Rivers side, Edwin Okon was full of praise for his girls after the game. "We played an excellent game and should have scored even more. We are a club tailored to win titles and this season will not be any different," Okon told .
