Job Title: Head, Outsourcing

Job Location: Lagos, NIGERIA

Organisation: Etisalat Nigeria

Job Summary:

•   Develop and implement strategies and plans for the resourcing and management of outsourced roles

•   Act as the key interface between HR and all other functional areas which require outsourced staff to support delivery of set business objectives

•   Manage the relationship between the company and outsourcing partners.

Principal Functions:

•   Provide overall guidance and direction in the management of outsourced staff

•   Design, develop and implement cost-effective strategies for the recruitment, training and managing of outsourced staff

•   Oversee the implementation of the recruitment plan to meet the approved manpower requirements for outsourced staff

•   Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations for effective outsourcing

•   Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

•   Work in partnership with business units to understand key business drivers and needs as well as current and future challenges in terms of outsourced staff recruitment needs and other HR-related issues

•   Assign responsibilities to subordinates and supervise them to ensure timely delivery

•   Negotiate contract terms, fees and payment schedules with outsourcing partners and develop contracts and service level agreements for outsourcing partners

•   Work with outsourcing partners to deliver an effective performance management system for outsourced staff ? including appraisals, confirmation, training and development interventions

•   Identify employee relations issues and take appropriate action to address/ resolve issues or escalate to the Chief HR Officer (CHRO) where necessary

•   Co-ordinate disciplinary cases and appeals to ensure timely resolution

•   Handle industrial relations issues and relationships with labour organizations

•   Provide inputs in the development of outsourcing partners? HR policies relating to staff welfare, e.g leave, medicals, resignation, etc

•   Work with outsourcing partners to ensure timely and accurate processing of all outsourced staff salaries and benefits, e.g leave allowance, transfer benefits, medical reimbursements, recreational benefits, etc

•   Work closely with Finance to ensure timely remittance of outsourced staff?s PAYE taxes and other statutory deductions

•   Ensure maintenance of accurate outsourced staff records

•   Conduct regular global and local best practice review and provide management with information on best practice in outsourcing management and governance

•   Continuously review the activities of the unit to identify improvement opportunities

•   Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates? performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives

•   Monitor and control the budgetary needs of the unit

•   Prepare and submit periodic management reports on the activities of the unit for management decision-making

•   Perform any other duties as assigned by the CHRO

Educational Requirements:

•   First degree in a relevant discipline

•   Postgraduate/ professional qualifications and/ or certifications in a related field will be an advantage

Experience,Skills & Competencies:

•   Between eight (8) and twelve (12) years directly-relevant post-NYSC work experience, with at least most recent three (3) years in a managerial role.

•   Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

•   Excellent experience in vendor management and outsourcing

•   Strong project management and negotiation skills
