Apparently determined to ensure the security of lives and properties of all residents and investors, the Ogun State Government has indicated its willingness to continue giving necessary support to all security and para-military bodies in the State.

The State Commissioner for Special Duties, Chief Olu Odeyemi gave this assurance today in Abeokuta while addressing the management team of the Civil Defence College of Security Management during a courtesy visit.

Odeyemi noted that the issue of security was of paramount importance to the Senator Amosun led-administration, saying that it would be willing to offer logistic support to the College as it moves to render training on security.

“Let me assure you of this government’s preparedness to offer support and assistance to your college. In this State we believe that security is paramount and we will stop at nothing to ensure that this is always placed on the front burner for the benefit of our people and investors alike” Odeyemi stated.

Earlier, the College Provost, Commandant Adekunle Eleshin had pointed out that his team embarked on the visit to familiarize with personalities and agencies of government and inform them of its activities bordering on training of security personnel.

He disclosed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was a voluntary organization before it became a full fledged paramilitary organization by an Act in 2003, while the college came into existence in 2010.
