Efe Ambrose To Dedicate Scottish Cup To Wanyama

Celtic defender Efe Ambrose is hoping his side wins the Scottish Cup so he can dedicated the victory to team-mates Victor Wanyama and Beram Kayal who will both miss the final clash.

The duo both picked up yellow cards during the Bhoys' dramatic 4-3 extra-time win over Dundee United at Hampden Park on Sunday, and as a result will miss the final against Hibernian next Month.

Nigeria international Ambrose, who signed from Israeli side FC Ashdod last summer, says his team- mates' disappointment has given him added motivation to go on and lift the trophy.

"It is bad for them to miss out because they are such big players for us, especially Victor, said the 24 year-old on Sky Sports.

"They have been very important to the team, but it is up to us now to go and win it for them.

"We have wanted to win the league and cup double because it has been a long time since Celtic achieved that, but now we have another reason to go and try to win the Scottish Cup.

"They might not be on the park next month, but they have played a big part in making sure that as a team we will be at Hampden for the final.

Wanyama scored in Celtic's 4-3 win over Dundee United, and Ambrose played for all duration of the game.
