Job Title: Finance Manager, Credit Control

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Our client is a market leader in the Telecommunication Infrastructure provision sector in Nigeria. Due to internal expansion processes, the company has decided to start the search for a Finance Manager Credit Control for its Nigerian operations.

Reports To: Finance Director

Division: Finance

Group Unit: Credit Control

Role Summary:

The Credit Controller is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices to the company and plays a vital role in the cash-flow of the organization ensuring customers pay in line with agreed terms.

Responsibilities:

•   Managing the credit control function encompassing developing and revising credit policies, developing and updating credit control manual.

•   Providing rolling collection forecast on weekly and monthly basis

•   Reporting on collections and providing insightful reports to management.

•   Ensuring that the Account Receivable team promptly and correctly invoices for all revenues

•   Chasing debt by telephone and email and with the aim of maintaining optimal invoice collection days.

•   Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements.

•   Ensuring that Withholding tax deductions are remitted by customers and certificates are received

•   Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances.

•   Liaising with the Commercial and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve outstanding queries.

•   Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations.

•   Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices.

Key Performance Indicators

•   Accuracy & completeness of the data so as to ensure no duplication of payments.

•   Service delivery within the prescribed turnaround time for a transaction.

•   Timeliness in the resolution of queries from the internal as well as external customers.

•   Timeliness and quality of reporting.

In respect to the Ideal profile: – Education: BSc/HND in Accounting or Finance. Certification in ACCA/ACA would be an added advantage. – Experience: 7-10 years relevant experience
