CAN Hails Jonathan As Reactions Trail Borno, Yobe, Adamawa State of Emergency

Reactions yesterday trailed the declaration of State of Emergency in three Northern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.

The Senate yesterday threw its weight behind President Goodluck Jonathan on his declaration of State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States following the level of insecurity in these states and other parts of Nigeria.

Ibrahim Gaidam, Kashim Shettima and Murtala Nyako Govs of Yobe Brono and Adamawa States Reacting to President Jonathan's broadcast, Chairman, Senate Committee on Media, Information and Public Affairs, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who noted that the Senate supports the President hundred percent on the action, said, "the Senate is fully in support of any measure taken to restore normalcy in the country."
