PHOTOS: Boxer's Eye Is .... OUCH!

Mammas don't let your babies grow up to be Russian cruiserweight boxers. Otherwise, they may end up looking like Denis Lebedev.

During a grueling WBA title bout with Guillermo Jones in Moscow on Friday, the area around Lebedev's right eye became grotesquely swollen. According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, Lebedev's eye was already  "an absolute mess" by the end of the fourth. It only got worse.

Despite the horrific bruising and swelling, Lebedev (25-2) lasted until the 11th round before Jones (39-3-2) dropped him to the canvas near the ropes. By the time Jones secured the 11th-round KO, Lebedev's eye and the fact that the fight had not been stopped earlier dominated discussion of the bout on social media.
