2011 Earth Day - Google To Map Electric Vehicle Charging Stations in U.S.

[attachimg=1 align=left] Just in time for 2011 Earth Day, Google, the U.S. Department of Energy, and local businesses and communities are collaborating to map all electric vehicle charging stations nationwide. It is part of the Obama Administration's efforts to get 1 million electric and advanced-technology vehicles on the road by 2015.

The government has made $5 million available to local communities to jumpstart the electric-vehicle infrastructure in the U.S.
