Benue State poised to fortify bilateral relationship with Canada.

                        The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Steven Lawani has expressed the State Government's readiness to continue with strengthening of its bilateral relationship with the Canadian government.

He made the disclosure recently at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in  Makurdi on the visit of the Canadian High Commissioner, Chris Cooter.

Steven Lawani stressed that the Benue State Government is poised to strengthenthe programme on teacher's training and rotational education, particularly for the teeming youths of Benue State, in order to boost learning.

While speaking earlier, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Chris Cooter gave the Canadian government's appreciation for the high human traffic between Nigeria and Canada in recent times.  Chris Cotter said that the Canadian Government would partner with Benue State in areas such as health, economy and democratic studies.

He averred that the Canadian Government has already been involved in teacher training annually and expressed hoped that it will sustain this.
