Nissan's midsize commercial vehicle will be New York City's exclusive next-generation taxi for 10 years, beginning in 2013. Nissan beat out the Ford Transit Connect and an entry from Turkish manufacturer Karsan Otomotiv. Nissan will supply up to 13,000 taxis, at an average price of $29,000.
