Mr Yakubu Dati, the coordinating spokesman of aviation agencies, said on Saturday that the agencies had utmost respect for all governors in the country.
.
Dati, who is also the spokesman of FAAN, said this at a joint news conference held at the corporate headquarters of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in Ikeja.
.
The conference was held to further give clarifications on the cause of the delay of the helicopter that was supposed to fly Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State from Benin City to Awka on Friday.
.
Dati urged Nigerians not to politicise the issue, stressing that NAMA was only performing its legitimate functions.
.
"We hold Gov. Oshiomhole in high esteem and part of the Federal Ministry of Aviation's respect for him informed his being made our special guest of honour during the inauguration of the remodeled Benin Airport terminal some weeks ago, " Dati said.
