Job Title: HSE Site Representative

Location: Warri, Nigeria

Primary Responsibilities:

•   To provide expert advice on HSE (related) matters on a daily basis.

•   To verify compliance with Nigeria regulations, Contractual requirements & Project procedures.

•   To support the site emergency response team.

•   Advise personnel on safety, health and environmental related subjects.

•   Promote safety awareness.

•   Ensure adequate system of safety communications / training is provided by sub-contractor and participate on regular basis.

•   Carry out daily HSE inspections and maintain an HSE log.

•   Liaise with the CDM coordinator on site safety provisions.

•   Verify that activities are carried out in compliance with CDM Regulations.

•   Participate in risk assessments.

•   Ensure all incidents are investigated and reported to the Project Team.

•   Liaise with the Lead HSE Engineer for project specific HSE activities applicable on the site.

Required:

Knowledge and Experience:

•   B.Sc level technical study with additional study/work experience in the field of HSE.

•   NEBOSH certified.

•   Knowledge of Nigeria occupational HSE acts/regulations.

•   A minimum of 10 years experience as a Safety Officer.

•   Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
