Job Title: HR Assistant (NYSC)

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Job Description:

The incumbent will be required to assist with the following core HR initiatives:

•         Recruitment & selection activities

•         Job description, competency & performance indicators drafting

•         Company- wide training and development

•         Company- wide performance evaluation and management

•         Employee relations schemes & initiatives

•         Company- wide record keeping and data integrity

•         Rewards and benefits administration

•         Confidential advice to internal 'customers' in relation to problems at work

•         Company- wide grievance and disciplinary handling

•         Company- wide career development

•         Redundancy/termination of hire

•         Company- wide manpower planning & employee audits

•         Overseeing auxiliary and contract staff in Abuja

•         Benefits and compensation

•         Staff appraisals and monitoring the company performance appraisal systems

•         Compliance monitoring (handled strictly and based upon approval/recommendations forwarded from our Management team and in line with employment laws)

•         Overseeing the company's HR policies and make amendments or additions as and when necessary

•         Overseeing day to day HR activities

•         Assist with implementation of company induction, orientation and training programs

•         Ensuring company compliance with all Nigerian Employment Standards and Labour laws

•         Act as back up to Admin Executive

Education/Experience and Skill Requirements:

•         Minimum 2years of experience in a similar position; experience in ICT/Telecommunications preferred.

•         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

•         Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

•         Detailed understanding of HR and Admin functions

•         Strategic planning and people management skills

•         Communication and presentation skills

•         High level of interpersonal skills and integrity

•         Interpersonal skills and negotiating ability

•         Ability to conceptualize and think creatively

•         Persuasive, patient manner

•         Coaching and leadership skills

•         Willingness to continuously update personal skills and knowledge
