Ogun State - WAEC Fees Financial Scam: Panel Calls for Memoranda from Members of the Public

 The office of the Head of Service in Ogun State and the State Civil Service Commission have set up an administrative panel of enquiry to look into the alleged misappropriation of West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) fees by officials of the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

A statement from the secretary of the panel urged anyone with useful information on the matter to either get in touch with the panel in writing or text messages.

The statement indicated that such information should be sent to the panel on or before Friday, 14th June, 2013 via SMS to 08086361556 or email ogunedupanel@yahoo.com and assured that all information would be treated with utmost confidentiality.

It will be recalled that early last month, a petition was received in the Governor’s office alleging that some officials of the Ministry in connivance of officials of WAEC diverted a total sum of 200 million naira WAEC fees.
