Minister of Police Affairs, Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade (retd), has warned the opposition parties against politicising the security of the country.

Olubolade said this on Thursday while speaking with journalists at Ipoti Ekiti in Ijero Local Area of Ekiti State after donating a mini bus to the Nigeria Union of Journalists Correspondents' Chapel in the state.

He said President Goodluck Jonathan was ready to do anything to keep Nigeria together, saying no responsible leader would want his country disintegrated.

According to him, playing politics with the issues of security of the country amounts to a great disservice to the nation.

He stated that any politician, who claimed to love Nigeria, must be concerned about its security and warned those whose utterances he described as inciting to restrain themselves from plunging the nation into chaos.

"We must all speak peace at all times. The administration is not against criticisms but when you criticise make sure it is positive. Don't politicize security of the country if you truly love Nigeria. You can play politics with developmental projects but do not play politics with security it is dangerous," he stated.
