Roles and responsibilities   

Specific Responsibilities:

•   Driving, maintaining, and servicing the project vehicles in keeping with the highest safety standards;

•   Ensuring proper long-term and day-to-day maintenance of all vehicles, including checking oil and other fluids, battery, brakes, tires, and other critical equipment;

•   Performing pick-ups, deliveries, repairs and makes purchases of office supplies as directed by supervisor;

•   Keeping log of vehicle use, maintenance, and service;

•   Arranging for the collection and delivery of mail or documents, as directed;

•   Other administrative support duties as necessary as may be directed

Skill set:

•   Valid driver's license and excellent driving record;

•   A Secondary/Diploma Certificate and at least Seven Years of experience working as a driver, two of which must be with an international project;

•   Excellent communication skills in local languages; good English and Hausa writing skills an asset

•   Computer literate an added advantage

•   Basic skills and qualification in motor mechanics is an added advantage

•   Proven punctuality and ability to work as part of a team and excellent references a desirable

•   First Aid and Security trainings are desirables

•   Defensive driving license is an added advantage

•   Provide 3 verifiable Referees in the submission of the application

Work experience: 7 years
