Revolutionary Mazda Engine Delivers 70-Plus MPG

The first production application of Mazda's new Skyactiv-G 1.3-liter gasoline engine will be in the face-lifted Mazda Demio, due shortly in Japan. The Skyactiv-G 1.3 delivers 83 horsepower and 83 pound-feet of torque.

A larger 2.0 version of the Skyactiv-G engine will debut in North America in the 2012 Mazda 3 late this year or early next.
