After team's poor show at FIFA U-20 World Cup Flying Eagles technical staff headed by Sam John Obuh will be guests of the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, today in Abuja, Complete Sports can report.

Obuh and his U-20 national team squad fell short of expectations at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey, exiting the tournament in the second round following a 2-1 defeat by Uruguay in Istanbul.

Obuh who guided the team to a quarter final stages the same competition two years ago in Colombia quickly turned in his resignation papers moments after the team flew back into the country.

But amidst growing concerns over the bickering that apparently hampered the junior national team in Turkey, including delayed or unpaid camping allowances by the NFF among other issues, the minister has invited the coaches for a parley on Thursday (today) more so when the under fire gaffer is said to have been owed backlog of unpaid salaries.

"The minister has invited Coach John Obuh and his aides to the World Cup in Turkey for a meeting in Abuja on Thursday", Complete Sports was informed.
