We are currently looking for a Transport Manager for our client who is a reputable Multinational FMCG.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Vehicle maintained as per planned schedule

•   Management of centralized workshop facilities and Inventory in stores

•   Roadworthiness of vehicles and licensing thereof

•   Major repairs

•   Continuous Improvement and Training for workshop operations

•   Providing technical knowledge to the business

•   Compliance to relevant Transport Legislation

•   Supplier partnering

•   Fleet maintenance and replacement program

•   Strategic spares and tyres are kept part of onsite inventory

•   Costing and Benchmarking

•   Fleet Solution Development, Design and Research

•   Project Administration, Tracking and Communication

•   Commercial Tracking and Processing of spares and tyres

•   Accident and Insurance Claims

•   Policies and SoP's

•   Risk Management – HSE

•   KPI's achieved

•   Effectively manage Team Members performance

•   Continuous Improvement

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•   Transport Engineer or Supply Chain Management or Logistics Qualification in Transportation

•   Microsoft Advanced

•   Preferred Experience: (10-15 years) – Fleet maintenance – Maintenance Costing and Budgeting – Fleet design and fleet mix optimization – Project Management – People Management – Process Management

•   Excellent Communication skills

•   Analytical

•   Innovator

•   Work in Teams and Independently

•   Proactive and Adaptable

•   Ability to handle pressure and multi-task

•   Must have a professional approach

•   Ability to build relationships and maintain confidentiality
