2 Die, 2 Injured In Lagos Port Accident

TRAGEDY struck, yesterday, at Terminal 'C' of Tincan Island Port being operated by Port and Cargo Handling Services Limited, when an accident claimed the life of a dockworker and left two others seriously injured.

Moses Gabriel died on the spot, while Haruna Mohammed sustained injury on the head, Ruben Ugbaji, has his leg broken.

While Ugbaji, at the time of this report, was still in an undisclosed hospital, Haruna Mohammed has been discharged.

President of Dockworkers branch of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, MWUN, Adewale Adeyaju, said: "The workers were discharging iron rods when suddenly some of them fell on the workers at 2 a.m. this morning (yesterday).

"Mr. Moses Gabriel died on the spot, Haruna Mohammed sustained injury on the head, while Ruben Ugbaji had one of his legs broken.
