Eagles In Good Shape For Elephants - Stephen Keshi

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has told
Complete Sports that the national players currently
in camp preparing for the return leg of the 2014 CAF
African Nations Championship qualifier against the
Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire in Abidjan are in good
shape.

The former Togo national team handler who is
looking forward to a win in the away game having led
the Home Eagles to beat the francophone country 4 1
in the first leg match played in Kaduna two weeks
ago says the players are responding to training and
ready to go out there and earn the nation the coveted
CHAN ticket.

"The players are all in good shape and responding to
everything we are doing and with what they are
doing in camp, we are really sure that they will give
their best in the away match. For now, we are looking
beyond the first leg match because that one is over
and our total concentration for now is how to win the
match in Abidjan," Keshi says.

"I know that the match will be tough but we are
prepared and have our hope in God as well. We also
need the support of everybody to make the dream a
reality."

Complete Sports can also report that the players are
expected to depart the country's shores for Abidjan,
the venue of the match on Thursday.

It would be recalled that Nigeria has not feature in
the final of the tournament since it was introduced to
help African nations develop their home-based
players.
