Transformation agenda in power alive at Kaduna DISCO says the MD.

                        The Managing Director of Kaduna Distribution Company (DISCO), Alhaji Idris Mohammed has reiterated the determination of his Company to keep alive the on-going transformation agenda of Mr. President in the Power Sector, by striving to achieve uninterrupted power, 24/7.

In a letter addressed to the Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, copy of which was made available to the Minister of State, (Power), Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi, the CEO said that the Minister would recall in his welcome address the assertion he made while in Kaduna on familiarization tour of his Company last month, "The World and the Media should know that Kaduna is keeping faith with President Goodluck Jonathan's Transformation Agenda in the Power sector; it is alive."

This position, he said has further been reinforced by a letter of appreciation from a distinguished Senator, Yushua Mohammed Anka (Turakin Zamfara) in the letter dated, 12th June , 2013. The CEO said that in the said letter, the distinguished Senator acknowledged that people living in his neighbourhood now enjoy near 24 hour electricity daily, a feat described as remarkable.

Mallam Mohammed assured the Minister that the staff will continue to turn the fortunes of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company around, until it reaches greater heights and target of 24hours of electricity daily.

The power sector is not doing so well right about now. Electricity is just about 3 hours everyday and that is very ridiculous.
