As part of efforts to make healthcare delivery qualitative and accessible to members of the public, the Ogun State Government has commenced the distribution of medical equipment to its hospitals across the State.

The equipment worth 2million dollars were earlier supplied by Project Cure, a non-profitable organization which kicked off its distribution at the State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.

In an interview, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka stated that the equipment would be distributed to State and General Hospitals and all Primary Healthcare Centres across the State, saying that “in the next few days, we will be distributing the equipment to the hospitals”

Dr. Soyinka said that the Hospitals Management Board (HMB) had since engaged in cataloguing, packaging and arranging the various phases of the equipment, noting that the idea behind the supply was to inject a large quantity of medical equipment into the hospitals in order to continue to improve the standard of healthcare delivery in the state.

In his remark, the Chief Medical Director of the State Hospital, Ijaiye Abeokuta, Dr. Olukayode Oladehinde observed that the new equipment would enhance the quality of services rendered to the people, thanking the government for its effort at providing better hospitable service.

Medical Equipments are very necessary in situations like this so it makes a lot of sense. Very good one I must confess for Ogun State.
