Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Ibadan, Nigeria

Supply Chain Manager for a manufacturing multinational

Industry experience required- engineering (auto/ electronics/ mechanical)

Ensure the timely and cost effective preparation and implementation of production planning, purchasing activities, logistics & warehousing of company inventories (finished goods, spare parts & raw materials)

EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

•   B.E.(Mechanical)/PGDMM/MBA (SCM) from recognized university; Computer literacy required

•   Supply chain experience in a complex manufacturing set up.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•   Responsible for all the aspects of the supply chain: sourcing, purchasing, production planning, warehousing, logistics, vendor development and management.

•   Develop a sufficient supplier's base in order to be able to evaluate and attain the most competitive prices and quality on a local basis.

•   Ensure the effectiveness and consistency of production planning by providing efficient, accurate & timely schedules.

•   Ensure effective and cost efficient transportation of products so as to guarantee reliability in delivery times and product quality.

•   Conduct local market search for alternative suppliers in order to identify the most appropriate ones in terms of delivery times, product quality, credibility and cost.

•   Ensure the appropriate safe storage & movement of raw materials, finished goods & spare parts, in order to support the production process and eliminate delays.

•   Ensure the smooth running of the inter-company order processing in order to eliminate order errors, minimize delays and provide top of the edge quality on customer service.

•   Design and follow up implementation of training programs for the department's staff so as to secure diffusion of technical know-how.

•   Train, support and motivate the department's staff in order to ensure high quality and commitment.

•   Should have the basic knowledge of QMS & EMS

WORK EXPERIENCE:

•   12-20 years of work experience in all gamut of Supply Chain atleast 5-7 years of experience in managerial grade

•   Experience in handling stores/ logisitcs, warehouse, production planning in an engineering company.

•   Good network with suppliers for procurement of raw materials, consumables etc

Desired Skills & Experience:

•   Extensive experience in Nigeria, ability to handle the vendors/ suppliers in the region

•   Local language proficiency- highly desired.
