Victor Anichebe Out Everton’s Home Draw

Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe was handed only a bench role as Everton dropped vital points at home; settling for a 0-0 draw against visiting Wes Brom in a Week 2 EPL clash Saturday at the Goodsison Park.

The Nigerian forward who only enjoyed a cameo in the season opener against Norwich City could only watch from the sidelines as his team record their second successive draw in their 2013/14 League campaign.

Before yesterday, Everton had won in each of their last two EPL home matches against West Brom, since a 4-1 defeat at Goodison Park in November 2010, however Steve Clarke's men were resolute today and have being rewarded with their first point of the season after suffering a shocking home defeat in their season opener against Southampton last weekend.

After this not too impressive results, Everton and West Brom will turn their attention to the League Cup game against lower League clubs on Wednesday.
