Professors: A Ph.D degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of publications, Research and Development ( R & D) and administrative experience. In addition, the candidates must have at least 12 years of cognate experience in full-time teaching. Research active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions are placed on a special package.

Associate Professors: A Ph.D degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of publications, Research and Development ( R & D) and administrative experience. In addition, the candidates must have at least 10 years of cognate experience in full-time teaching. Research active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions are placed on a special package.

Senior Lecturers: A Ph.D degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of publications, Research and Development (R & D) and administrative experience. In addition, the candidates must have at least 7 years of cognate experience in full-time teaching. Research active Professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions are placed on a special package.

Lecturers I and II: PH.D degree with 4 years cognate experience

Assistant Lecturers: At least a Masters degree in relevant discipline with a CGPA suitable for undertaking M.Phil/P.hD programme.
