Anichebe Makes WBA Bow

Victor Anichebe made his Premiership debut for West Bromwich Albion on a good note, as he helped secure a valuable away point in a 1-1 draw against Fulham.

The Super Eagles striker partnered Nicolas Anelka, and saw action for 78 minutes before he was replaced by England U21 international, Saido Berahino.

Steve Sidwell opened scoring for Fulham, who were without injured Darren Bent, in the 22nd minute, off an assist by Darren Bent.

Gareth McAuley scored a late equaliser for the visiting WBA in the second minute of injury time, after good work by Chris Brunt.

It is the second point WBA will earn this season, and it moved them from propping up the 20 team Premiership table, into second from bottom.
