Obafemi Martins confirmed his full recovery from the injury that kept him out for about three weeks, when he opened the scoring as Seattle Sounders defeated Real Salt Lake 2-0.

The game, which was played very early on Saturday morning, is the continuation of the American Major League soccer season.

Martins, who had several scoring chances, but failed to covert any in the 2-1 win over Chicago Fire last week, was quick off the mark as he scored within three minutes of the kickoff.

It is his 8th goal of the campaign.

Lamar Neagle made the game safe for the Sounders, when he scored the second with seven minutes left in the first half, to give the home side a 2-0 lead going into the break.

No more goals were scored in the encounter, as Sounders won their fifth game in a row, and moved top of the Western Conference Table with 49 points.
