As a Senior Engineer you will provide technical and operational support for drilling operations from the tendering stage through project commencement, operations and wrap-up according to guidelines set out in the Integrated Management System (IMS).  You will articulate important outcomes or contribution(s) that are expected of the position.  In addition, you will take responsibility for the interface between BHIO rig site execution team, regional engineering team, customer and product lines to ensure flawless job execution by preparing detailed procedures, capturing and recording NPT, lessons learned and identified risks for optimization of on-going and future operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES/ACCOUNTABILITES:

•   Day to day engineering and technical support of the operations.

•   Capture and incorporate lessons learned.

•   Optimize drilling activity.

•   Prepare End of Well reports (EOWR).

•   Thorough data gathering so information is based on all known data.

•   Robust risk assessment and mitigation.

•   Engagement with product lines to optimize programs.

•   Monitor operations and provide engineering support to optimize operations efficiency.

•   Identification and incorporation of lessons learned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

•   Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or other industry-related four-year degree.

•   Highly skilled with Microsoft Office products.

•   Proficient in use of drilling and well design software (e.g. StressCheck, well planning software, etc.).

•   Significant experience within drilling and well engineering.

•   International work experience.

•   Deepwater and/or HPHT experience is an advantage.

•   Well Control certification is an advantage.

•   Familiar with third party contracts

•   Demonstrated proficiency in English (both oral and written skills).

•   Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

•   Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment.

•   Previous experience working in a multi-disciplined team.

•   Ability to work independently within a given framework
