Hip TV To Launch 24 Hour DSTV Channel On October 18

Hip TV's 24-hour DSTV channel will launch on Friday, October 18, the company has announced.

A live event to mark the news and lifestyle channel will hold at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos this October, according to a statement by the channel.

According to producers, the channel will offer rich content on news, events, documentaries, rotations, red carpet events, features, interviews and many more. Already confirmed TV shows include 'Music Everywhere', 'Streetz' and 'Exclusive Interview'.

'The channel will do Nigeria proud, and make us all proud to be Nigerians', Executive producer and founder Ayo Animashaun says.

Hip TV, launched in 2007, is the broadcast arm of Smooth Promotions, parent company of Hip Hop World Magazine and awards show, The Headies as well as Street Hop, Veterans' Nite.
