Enyimba pull out of Super Four

Nigeria League 2013 runners up Enyimba have reportedly announced they have pulled out of the Glo Premier League Super Four championship scheduled to hold in Kaduna from October 28th to November 3rd. National Mirror gathered that the club management led by NFF member Felix Anyansi has decided to pull out of the Super 4 to allow the players and coaches have more time to rest ahead of the new season.

"We think it is crazy to engage the players and coaches into another rough journey, the new season will kickoff next month, the players and coaches have less than three weeks to rest and enjoy life off football.

"The players are not robot, they need more time to rest from the rough season. The Super 4 timing is wrong; the duration of the championship is too long. We'll have a long season next year, the CAF competition and our pre-season programme.

"We just hope the LMC will respect our decision and put a lot into consideration, we hope they won't hold any grudge against us," the source added. The Aba Elephant finished the season as the Cup champions and also placed second on the League table. They will compete at next year CAF Champions League.
