Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has been described as the soul of his French Lique 1 club,Lille LOSC by the club's captain, Rio Mavuba following another stellar performance in goal on Sunday night at the Grand Stade.

The Nigerian's heroics ensured René Girard's men achieve what no other side had managed to do so far zthis season: inflict defeat on Claudio Ranieri's Monaco, whose 11-match unbeaten run in Ligue 1 was brought to a halt by two goals from Nolan Roux (27', 72').

Enyeama made not less than six decisive interventions against Falcao and the rest of the star- studded,expensively assembled Monaco side.

He stopped Falcao from retaking the Lique 1 goleador's shirt from PSG's Edison Cavani who had moved one goal (nine) ahead of the Colombian in the top scorers chart by thwarting his gaol-bound efforts three times in the match viz:75 , 90 +1, 90 +3 minutes.

"We have Jesus in goal," joked Mavuba of the unbeatable Enyeama, who has now not conceded a goal in seven straight Ligue 1 matches.

"He was huge (Sunday) tonight.Without Enyeama , I'm not sure we would not have won this game.; we were tough in midfield, impeccable in defence and we took our chances up front. It was perfect," further remarked Mavuba who wondered why Lille allowed him to go on loan to Maccabi Tel Aviv last season.

'He should have been our first choice goalkeeper since two seasons ago.'

Monaco attacker,Emmanuel Riviere,who was twice denied by Enyeama also paid tribute to the Nigerian. 'He (Enyeama) was incredible in goal.'

Another Monaco player,Jeremy Toulalan lamented the loss,insisting his side did not deserve to lose the game.
