As part of activities marking his 2013 birthday celebration, the founder and overseer of Christ for the World Mission, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Eze, has donated N100, 000, 15 bags of rice, seven cartons of tin tomatoes, seven bags of salt, three cartons of magi cube, toiletries, detergents and vegetable oil to widows across the State.

Presenting the items to the widows at a ceremony held at the POWER incubation center of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Rev. Dr Nicholas Eze disclosed that he chose to celebrate his birthday with widows, orphans and the less privileged in appreciation of God's abundant blessings on him, his Church-Christ for the World Mission where he is pasturing–and his entire family.

Rev. Nick Eze hinted that God has raised and given Him enough grace and enablement to serve Him since he arrived the State on January 8th 1973 pointing out that whenever God blesses a person, he should share with the masses as God blesses extensively.

He told the beneficiaries that the items distributed to them were not to stop but reduce their burdens and admonished them to be prayerful to generate faith that will become channels of God's blessings for them.

The man of God commended the Cross River State Government and the Ministry of Women Affairs for embarking on programs that will ameliorate the plight of widows in the State maintaining that he has adopted the widows' outreach as part of his birthday celebration.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Edak Iwuchukwu, represented by the Director of women Affairs, Mrs. Margaret Njar while receiving the cash and items, commended Rev. Eze for his gesture noting that they will go a long way to cushion the high cost of living.

In a vote of thanks, Mrs. Lydia Ita Mbonta, President of Cross River State Widows Association, thanked Rev. Eze for putting smiles on their faces and prayed God to replenish his stock many folds.
