The Secretary of Obudu Local Government Council, Mr. Unimke Nawa, has advised pupils of nursery and primary schools in the state to shun cultism and indiscipline in the society.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Lishi Gie Kushu Nursery/Primary School, Obudu on Wednesday, Mr. Nawa told the children that there was no virtue in cultism and other anti-social acts.

He said children who embrace cultism end up as renegades in the society as they normally turn out as political thugs and petty criminals.

He urged parents to control the type of materials read by their children and avoid violent and undesirable films.

Mr. Nawa advsed parents to monitor the activities of their kids and the type of company they keep.

The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Dorathy Ushie, said the institution was holding its 12th graduation, adding that its pupils had performed creditably in academics and sports since its existence.

Mrs. Ushie appealed to parents and public spirited individuals to aid the school to deck the second block to provide more accommodation for a standard computer science room, science laboratory, and band set.

The ceremony featured debate and drama presentations, traditional dances and recitations as well as presentation of Prizes and testimonials to the graduating students.
