Youth in Cross River State have been told to imbibe those core values of old so as to be able to make heaven.

This charge was given by the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke during Youth Swagger; a praise and worship program by Grace Consulate Evangelical Network.

Spiced with anecdotes Imoke's story espoused his early life in Nigeria and America maintaining that he was optimistic that with the right attitude and fear of God, the present generation of youth can be successful.

He observed that the society has degenerated because they compromised good morals as well as hard work, honesty and patience but however, reminded the youth that the options to change the society lies on the young people's commitment to worshipping God.

Governor Imoke said he believed that there are no accidental leaders and urged Youths to put their implicit trust in God, as leadership can only be achieved by the anointing of God and therefore commended Pastor Lawrence Agbata for mentoring young people, impacting words of wisdom and leading them to know and serve God.

He acknowledged that he was fascinated by the performances of the young people whom he described as God-filled and gifted.

The Governor's Wife, Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke who is the facilitator of 'Youth Swagger' in the State, encouraged young people ones to hold unto God and thanked them for coming out in large numbers while congratulating those who gave their lives to God during the program.

Mrs. Imoke urged them to continually read the Bible that was given to them, to be able to understand God's teaching. Her words, "What you came out to do today is not a joke. Make this book your best friend, open the book and read it. God will talk to you".

The Senior Pastor, Grace Consulate Evangelical Network, Lawrence Agbata said that the ministry worships God through praise and worship and that the ministry mostly impacts words of wisdom to youths and directs them to God so that they can realize their destinies.

Pastor, Obi Pax Harry was among those who prayed at the event while Popular Nigerian Gospel musicians including Frank Edward, Joe Praise, Buchi and Dayo Laniyi spiced up the event with their sensational performances which left the mammoth crowd at the cultural Centre Complex asking for more.
